Alex Petkas is a former professional classicist and university professor who
specialized in teaching Plutarch's works on Greco-Roman antiquity.
He left academia to create The Cost of Glory podcast, which dramatically retells ancient biographies like Plutarch's Parallel Lives, incorporating insights from figures such as Xenophon, Plato, and Caesar to provide practical takeaways for modern leadership and personal success. He is also the Founder of The Classical Society.
Alex will guide us through an understanding of ancient heroism, leadership, and the cost of glory.
Attendees are asked to study the provided reading materials before the event, which will take around one hour of study to complete.
