This Weekend is for Fathers and Sons Ages 8+
This is a guided camping trip into Montgomery Bell State Park in Burns, TN. This is a light hike to a campsite where you and your son will learn how to build shelters, purify water, cook over an open fire, store food safely at night, and more!
Why Meriwether?
At Meriwether, moral virtues are just as important as the physical. Not only will we get outside, learn real-world skills, and experience the beauty of nature. We'll also take some time around the fire to talk about character, courage, integrity, and all of the virtues that make manhood everything it can be.
What's included?
All of your camping gear & meals are provided by Meriwether. We will be staying in a rustic cabin (pictured below) and you will be provided with an air mattress and a sleeping bag.

What do you need to bring?
Your own clothes, shoes, rain jacket, water bottles, and toiletries.
Bring fishing gear if you have it, there is a good lake by our campsite. Be sure to carry your license!
(We will do an intro call prior to the trip to discuss the items you'll want to have.)
Important Details:
This hike will require participants to walk 4.7 miles with appx 25 lbs on their back (less for the boys). Boots or tennis shoes are both sufficient.

When?
Meet at Montgomery Bell State Park Warehouse Trailhead Parking Lot at 10 AM Saturday the 25th.
Depart by 2 PM Sunday the 26th.
What do you need to bring?
